Toy Type by Age

For those who have little contact with children but do buy presents the following “range guide” may help your thinking........pushing too far ahead may make the toy less attractive or less about play than aspiration.

Babies (0-12 months):

Rattles, squeaky toys, ball, chimes and bells.

Toddlers (1-3 years):

Pull along toys, soft toys, dolls, finger paints and large crayons.
